Martin Belcher
Martin has been managing and investing in a range of insurance and financial services companies since 1985. He is chairman of the Vantage Group of Companies, and also chairman and beneficial owner of the Polygon Group – a group that invests in European, UK and Channel Island property and businesses.
Previously Managing Director of Guernsey based Polygon Insurance Company Limited, which was originally an aviation insurer, he spearheaded the development and diversification into captive insurance management, insurance broking and trust administration. In 2001, Martin led a management buyout and formed the basis for a new company, Heritage Group where, as CEO, he drove its rapid expansion from 2001 to 2008 into a multi-jurisdictional financial services company.
Polygon Insurance Company continued trading and Martin then moved from CEO of Heritage to non-executive chairman of Heritage in order to focus on developing opportunities at Polygon. Since 2009 Martin has rapidly transformed Polygon, building up its investment portfolio which now includes property, operating companies (both regulated and non-regulated) as well as a number of “business angel” investments into start-up companies.

Ed Daubeney
Ed is an NED for the Polygon Collective, but his primary role is Deputy Group Chairman of Vantage.
Additional to this, Ed works with a small portfolio of high growth companies who are looking for early-stage capital and he has developed a strong network of sophisticated investors. He works with businesses from a range of commercial sectors, but focuses on technology companies.
Ed has been an Executive Director and Non-Executive Director to several organisations and has also provided project management and consultancy services to private and public sector organisations. He is currently on the Board of Calligo Limited and Jersey Sport, as well as being President of EYECAN and a Governor of St Michael’s School. His early career was with the Ford Motor Company and on returning to the Channel Islands he was the HR Director of the Le Riche Group Limited prior to becoming Managing Director of C.I. Hospitality, the Channel Islands’ largest pub estate. He led this business through major change prior to its ultimate acquisition by the Liberation Group. In a consulting role he assisted in the creation of Digital Jersey, Visit Jersey and Jersey Sport.

Sandra Fernandes
Sandra is responsible for the management of insurance requirements for key corporate and personal high net worth clients. She is professionally qualified with over 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry.
Born and educated in Jersey, she initially trained as an Insurance Broker with Shepherd Insurance Brokers Limited which later became Alexander Forbes Limited. She has since worked at Capital Insurance Brokers who were acquired by Vantage Insurance Brokers Limited in October 2014.
Sandra’s interests outside of the office include spending as much time as possible with her young family, cooking and keeping fit.

Lisa Wharton-Edwards
Lisa is a Board member and head of pensions at Vantage. She is a professionally qualified trust estate practitioner with 21 years’ experience in the finance industry.
Born and educated in Wales, Lisa initially worked at Barclays before moving into trust and company administration, working for various established trust companies, both in Jersey and the BVI.
Lisa has two sons and apart from spending time with her family, her main interests outside the office are following rugby and spending time with friends.

Eddie McCafferty
Eddie manages the compliance and regulatory operation of the company. Acting as Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Money Laundering Compliance Officer she also supervises and advises on the day to day Anti Money Laundering risks and regulatory requirements faced by the business.
She holds the International Compliance Diploma and is the main point of contact with the Regulator.
She joined the company in 2010, after working at HSBC Private Bank for 21 years, where she built up a wide knowledge and experience in Trust Company Business, Private Banking, Investment and Insurance Mediation Business. Eddie headed up the compliance department at HSBC for 8 years, acting as MLRO and MLCO.
Born and educated in Jersey. In her spare time, Eddie enjoys socialising, travelling, reading, walking and dabbling in antiques and collectables.

Paul Wright
Paul joined Polygon Group as the Chief Operating Officer in 2018 and was promoted to Chief Executive Officer in February 2020. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in his home, New Zealand, before re-locating with KPMG to Guernsey.
With more than 25 years’ experience, Paul brings with him strong commercial finance experience having worked as Finance Director for Blue Diamond Group for over a decade driving significant growth and profitability and subsequently as Finance Director for International Energy Group, a multi-jurisdictional role where he was instrumental in the restructuring and sale of the company delivering significant value to the shareholder.
Paul has a wide-reaching responsibility for the Collective including responsibility for its finance and operational functions as well as having significant involvement in its investment portfolio. He is a director of Vantage Limited, Vantage Pension Trustees Limited, Vantage Insurance Brokers Limited and also Polygon Insurance Company Limited which is a Guernsey regulated insurance company.

Joanna Leese
Joanna is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has over 20 years’ experience in providing, implementing, and supporting a wide range of software solutions in both the commercial and financial sectors.
She joined Polygon Group Limited in 2008 working for one of the investment companies as the Accounting and Technical Officer and became IT Director of the Vantage Group in 2017.
Joanna is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. She was appointed to the Board of Polygon Collective in 2020 and her role has wide-ranging responsibility including infrastructure and system development coupled with her group accounting role.
In 2022, Joanna became a Director of the Vantage regulated businesses.
Liaising with external IT providers, she maintains the group’s Cyber Essentials Certification. She also aids compliance with the new data protection regulations.
